OK I just wasted a good hour, at least, plugging through the posts on this blog, trying to ID “the squirrel’s” nameless restaurant. 

Let’s see:

–It’s on the southwest corner of the three-way intersection of a four-lane, east-west artery and smaller two-lane north-south street that dead-ends at the east-west street.

–I am pretty sure the “hole-in-the-wall BYOB Mexican place” rhapsodized over in a recent post is Mixteco. Which would put mr. mystery restaurant somewhere on the north side, three miles from Ashland and Montrose.

–Mr. mystery restaurant serves a lot of burgers.

–There are TVs, with sports on them.

–There’s a Wendy’s nearby.

So many clues, and yet I am blank. I’m guessing west. Avondale? Albany Park? Lincoln Square? A drive-by may be in order.

In any case, even if you’re not playing restaurant detective it’s a good, if sort of exhausting, read. (The guy is … prolific.) Think Kitchen Confidential meets Waiter Rants, the management edition.
