Wabansia<\/span><\/span><\/address>\n<p>Cold? Hungry? Sad and lonely?\u00a0We have the answer, and the answer is SOUP.<\/p>\n<p>Every Wednesday this winter the Hideout presents a free weekly dinner featuring soup prepared by Hideout staff, regulars, local chefs, and maybe even a few \u201ccelebrities.\u201d We\u2019re aiming for three soups per week\u2013but some days there might be more, or less. What goes in the pot is up to our guest soup chefs. Because they\u2019re volunteering their time and energy, we\u2019re not going to be bossy and tell them what to make. (Vegetarians, we are doing our best to ensure at least one meatless option each week\u2013but no guarantees.)<\/p>\n<p>ALL SOUP IS FREE\u2013but we will pass the hat each week. Donations go to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagosfoodbank.org\/site\/PageServer\">Greater Chicago Food Depository<\/a>, which can do a better job of feeding the truly hungry than a few well-meaning barflies can.<\/p>\n<p>Soup is served starting January 7.<\/p>\n<p>Our inaugural SOUP CHEFS are:<\/p>\n<address><span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Hideout bartender Anastasia Davies Hinchsliff<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/address>\n<address><a href=\"http:\/\/www.celestialkitchens.com\/\"><span><span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Celestial Kitchens<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u00a0pastry chef Celeste Dolan<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/address>\n<address><span><span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">The generous&#8211;and vegetarian-friendly&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimcafe.com\/\">Swim Cafe<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/address>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So COME ON DOWN!<\/p>\n<p>*But don&#8217;t come February 11&#8211;no soup love that day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Behold&#8211;herewith one of the &#8220;new initiatives&#8221; referred to in the previous post.
